Illinois taxes are among the highest in the nation. Illinois has the second highest property taxes in the nation and the third highest motor fuel taxes in the country and according to a recent report from the Tax Foundation Illinois’ tax climate is the 36th worst in the country and that score would have been worse if the voters had supported JB Pritzker’s progressive income tax.

We are taxed enough. Brad has pledged to not raise taxes and he will continue to work to bring common-sense tax and spending reforms to Illinois.

Your gmail link doesn’t work and your phone keeps giving an application error. I’m getting the feeling you don’t care to be bothered. In the meantime I am fighting a tax increase and cannot get my local assessor to return any of my calls and the Douglas County Supervisor of Assessments was at work only Friday last week and gone again today. I can’t get the Illinois Department of Revenue to return my call now neither after finding out my first call was about taxes. I can’t seem to find anyone willing to do their jobs. I’m trying to find out why Douglas Country violated statutes by not giving proper 30 day notice of assessment before appeal period ends and why the Supervisor of Assessments arbitrarily tacked on an additional 4% increase on top of Illinois 3% increase. I want to know what legal means can be taken against Douglas County.
